Important Note about BYD Tinting

Although the BYD is an electric car with large high voltage batteries used to power its motor instead of fuel, it still has a smaller 12V ignition battery that starts the motor and runs accessories just like a petrol car.

If this 12V battery goes flat during the tinting process from using the windows while the car is stationary and batteries not regenerating, it will send multiple error codes to your dash that will then require a visit back to your service centre to have the codes cleared and reset.

To prevent this from happening, we always connect our BYD vehicles to trickle charges so we can check the health of your 12V battery and give it a top-up charge while it’s in our care.
